COLLEN and COLLEN IP TOPS IN TRADEMARKS

Attorney Jess M. Collen has been recognized as one of the “Top 50 Trademark Attorneys in the United States,” by the national legal and financial publication Trademark Insider. This marks the third time that he has received this distinction. Mr. Collen is the founder and managing partner of Collen IP, an intellectual property law firm based in Westchester County, New York.

Specifically, Trademark Insider ranked Mr. Collen 13^th among attorneys nationally according to the number of trademark applications submitted to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office during the third quarter of 2009.

In a separate survey compiled concurrently by Towergate Software, Collen IP placed in the top five law firms nationally, as measured by opposition filings before an administrative tribunal of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office during 2009. These specialized proceedings are designed to protect existing trademark holders from potential trademark infringement by subsequent applicants for certificates of registration.

Collen IP has maintained an active trademark and patent practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Mr. Collen represents major international brand owners as well as mid-sized and emerging growth companies throughout the region.
