• State Senator Andrea Stewart-Cousins To Address Westchester Business Leaders at WCA’s Political Friday Event on March 15

  • MARCH 05, 2013

  • The Westchester County Association continues its popular and provocative Political Friday series with the New York State Leader of the Democratic Conference...

From New York State Legislator's Breakfast, 2011
...Albany lawmakers have some big issues on their plates these days—gun control, a minimum wage increase, women’s rights, pension reform, school aid…the list goes on. And while the debates are endlessly fascinating so are the behind-the-scenes machinations—especially in the NY State Senate, where the Republicans cut a deal with five breakaway Democrats in order to keep some semblance of a majority.

Now more than ever, State Senator Andrea Stewart-Cousins, the Leader of the Democratic Conference, will be one to watch. The Westchester County Association (WCA), the region’s preeminent business membership organization, offers the public a unique opportunity to learn more about Stewart-Cousins -- a Democrat representing Yonkers, Greenburgh, Scarsdale, and parts of White Plains and New Rochelle, and the first woman to be named Leader of any conference in the nation -- as part of its Political Friday series:

According to Allen, the Senator will outline policies that encourage economic development in Westchester and the rest of the state. She will also answer questions from the audience.
