Brett: 'A Vote For the LDC is a vote for Westchester's Future'
Marissa Brett, executive director of Economic Development for the Westchester County Association and Head of The Blueprint for Westchester, released the following statement today:
The Westchester LDC could inject millions in construction jobs into the economy.
"The Westchester County Association commends the Westchester County Board of Legislators for ratifying the incorporation of the Westchester County Local Development Corporation (LDC). An LDC in this county will give the nonprofit community – healthcare, education, cultural and similar organizations – access to the same low-interest financing opportunities that for-profit organizations enjoy, helping to advance economic development and create jobs in Westchester. We strongly urge its passage when the full BOL votes on April 15. A vote for the LDC is a vote for Westchester's future."
