Over the past several months, the WCA's Young Professional Group has ballooned to over 700 members, making it one of the most influential and useful hubs for the next generation of business leaders. It paves the way for our under-40 set to connect with their peers and have their voices heard in the community. Today, The Westchester County Association announced the Young Professionals Executive Board for 2013-2014....
The twelve members encompass a wide range of professional expertise — from business development and construction, to finance to healthcare, law and accounting. Leading this dynamic group are:
Olivia Ecker, Chair
Olivia Ecker, who was recently named a "Wunderkind of Westchester" by 914Inc magazine, is the Facilities Coordinator, Communications at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals in Tarrytown, N.Y. Olivia is a recent graduate of Leadership Westchester, a mentor with Westchester Community College’s Workplace Culture Coaching Program, and volunteers with several of “Regeneron in the Community” initiatives. She is a graduate of Manhattanville College.
Erica Feynman Aisner
Erica Feynman Aisner is a bankruptcy attorney and Partner at DelBello Donnellan Weingarten Wise & Wiederkehr, LLP. Prior to joining the firm, Erica was Partner at Rattet Pasternak, LLP, which merged with the DelBello firm in January of 2013. In addition to her involvement with the YPs of the WCA, Erica serves as the liaison between the WCA and the Westchester County Bar Association, where she is also an active member. She is an adjunct professor at her alma mater, Hofstra University School of Law, and a board member of the Volunteer Center of the United Way. Erica lives in New Rochelle with her husband Michael, their two daughters Mollie and Samantha, and their pug Rosie.
Dean DeMott is a Business Development Manager at the accounting firm Citrin Cooperman, and is based in the firm’s White Plains, NY and Norwalk, CT offices. Besides his involvement with the WCA's YPs, Dean is active in a number of organizations including the Tim Davey Memorial Fund, which he founded. Dean served in the United States Navy and is a graduate of Molloy College. He lives in Danbury, CT with his wife.
Justin M. Gardner is an associate attorney with the law firm of Bleakley, Platt & Schmidt, LLP, and is a member of the firm’s Litigation, Appellate and Insurance Practice Groups. Prior to joining Bleakley Platt, Justin had accepted a judicial clerkship with the Hon. Charles L. Brieant, U.S.D.J., former Chief Judge of the United States District Court of the Southern District of New York, who unfortunately passed away before the clerkship’s scheduled commencement date. Justin has worked as a mediator for the Ohio Automobile Dealers’ Association’s Automotive Consumer Action Program (AUTOCAP) where he investigated consumer complaints filed with the Ohio Attorney General’s Office against member dealerships, and mediated settlements between consumers and dealerships on a wide variety of issues. He received a B.S. from Wesleyan University, and his J.D. from Ave Maria School of Law.
Jessica Gleason is a patient experience coordinator at White Plains Hospital. She earned a marketing business degree from Villanova University and an MBA from Pace University. In addition to the YP Executive Board, Jessica is a chairwoman for the Junior League of Central Westchester and a member of the Westchester-Fairfield Villanova Alumni Leadership Council. Jessica grew up in Chappaqua and currently resides in White Plains.
Kevin J. McCarthy is a vice president in CBRE’s Westchester/Fairfield office, serving the commercial real estate requirements of clients throughout Westchester and Fairfield counties. Prior to his career in commercial real estate, Kevin worked at ESPN in media conglomerate distribution sales. His community involvement keeps him connected as a lifelong resident of White Plains, NY, and is the founding member of the WCA's Young Professional Group.
Joseph McCoy is a team lender of the Commercial and Industrial Lending Group at People’s United Bank, which is a position he has held for the past two years. Prior to People’s, Joseph spent eleven years with Valley National Bank. Joseph is active with the Yonkers Partners in Education where he mentors middle school and high school students and with the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship. Joseph is a graduate from Muhlenberg College. He received an MBA in Finance from Rutgers University. Joseph currently resides in Pleasantville with his wife, daughter, and son.
Drew McKay is a project manager at the Arben Group, LLC, a heavy/civil construction company based in Pleasantville. Drew devotes much of his free time to volunteerism and is a recent graduate of Leadership Westchester, a program put on by The Volunteer Center of the United Way. Drew is a lifelong Westchester resident and currently resides in White Plains.
Marc Rosa is Vice President Wealth Management Advisor with Merrill Lynch where he has worked since 2002. He is a Fordham University graduate and co-chairs the Alumni Chapter for Westchester. Marc has been an active member with the YPs and WCA for 3 years, and is excited to be a part of the organization and the work that it is doing to influence and shape Westchester’s future. As a first generation Portuguese-American, he is active in the community on local and national levels. Marc lives in White Plains with his wife, Corrinne, and his two children, Nicholas and Gabriella.
Gina Pachlin is a senior audit associate at CohnReznick, LLP and has worked in the firm’s White Plains office since 2009. Gina has been a life-long resident of the Hudson Valley. She is a graduate of Fordham University, and currently resides in White Plains with her fiancé Joseph Farrenkopf; they are planning a June, 2014 wedding.
Benjamin Palancia is the chief marketing officer of the Albert Palancia Insurance Agency (Mamaroneck, New York), where he has worked since 2001. Ben specializes in insurance for contractors, restaurants, commercial buildings and professional liability. Ben has been active with the WCA and specifically the YPs for a many years during which time he has devoted time and energy to the economic, health care and government reform initiatives. He also is active in the Mount Kisco Rotary Club, the Boys & Girls Club of Northern Westchester and mentors middle school children in the Somers school system. Ben resides in Somers with his wife Joanna and his son Benjamin Jr. who was born in July, 2013!
Joseph Pizzimenti, President of CClean, Inc., has significant management and operational experience in the building services industry. Joseph is a trustee of the Building and Realty Institute, as well as vice president of the Westchester Coalition for the Hungry and Homeless. He is a graduate of Pace University.
