  • Come volunteer  to help sort and package Back to School clothing for local children in need!

FSW's The Sharing Shelf collects gently used children’s clothing for ages 0-18 from Westchester’s community, and donates those items to provide for members of our community who are in need. The clothing collected is distributed to area children (at no cost) through food pantries, schools, and nonprofit organizations.

Each child receives a week's worth of clothing matched into outfits by our volunteers. With Back to School looming, September is one of the busiest months for The Sharing Shelf.

We need a minimum of 25 volunteers to help us sort and package clothing on Saturday, September 13th. A WCA's Young Professionals Group Event, open to all professionals and their families. Children 10+ welcome with an adult. For more information, and to RSVP (required) please contact us at events@westchester.org

The 9/11 National Day of Service and Remembrance is a nationally observed day of service and unity meant to honor the legacy of those who were lost on 9/11. As an extension of this day of service, Volunteer New York! hosts an annual community action event with local nonprofits throughout Westchester County. Join the more than 2,500 people who have engaged in service in our area for 9/11 by participating in a project. More information can be found at www.volunteernewyork.org/service
