John Foligno

By John Foligno- Managing Director Cubism Marketing

Building Powerful, Sustainable Brands 1. Develop a clear, cohesive brand strategy. Without this, all of your marketing and communications efforts are wasteful. 2. As part of the brand strategy development, get into the minds of your customer. Focus groups are ineffective and will not provide true insight. 3. Formulate a comprehensive communications platform that takes all consumer touchpoints into account - print, TV, web, etc. 4. Develop relationships with your customers. Stop talking to them (or yelling with most messaging used today) and build a communication link. 5. A company's own culture is such an integral part of the Customer Experience. Align the behavior of your employees with the brand promise. Front line staff need to talk the same talk so your customers receive consistent brand messaging. "Your brand isn't what you say; it's what people say it is." - David Carlick

Terri EberleTerri L. Eberle, Director of Government Relations The College of New Rochelle

When Terri L. Eberle started her career at The College of New Rochelle in 1998 as Director of Grants, she became a member of the Westchester County Association. She not only learned that The WCA was an excellent platform to help her advance CNR's agenda of building relationships with and seeking funding from the government, corporations and foundations but in connecting with her counterparts at other colleges.

With her promotion to Director of Government Relations four years ago, Ms. Eberle joined the Government Affairs Committee. Early this year, she became a member of the new Property Tax Reform Commission. "Being a member has helped me to raise the visibility of the College not only with key government officials but with the business community, as well," she said.

Ms. Eberle earned a B.A. degree with a major in political science from SUNY Albany and a J.D. degree from George Washington University Law School. A resident of New Rochelle, she serves on the Board of the Westchester Chapter of the League of Conservation Voters. Among her hobbies, she ranks Lincoln-her two-year- old-Cockapoo pup -- as her favorite.
