Westchester County Association Presents
Westchester Produces!
Westchester Business on Stage
The Westchester County Association has revamped the old “Business
Solutions” into an event to showcase Westchester as the place to
do business. The day-long business event will move from its past site,
the Westchester County Center, to the Performing Arts Center at SUNY Purchase
to stage this trade show and economic vitality conference.
Westchester has marquee value as a place to live, but as a place to do
business…we really haven’t sung our praises on a larger stage.
The WCA chose The Performing Arts Center at SUNY Purchase because they
have four theaters, all the technical staff and stagecraft, and more than
ample parking, but the key is to remind everyone just why we love working
here, living here, and why we thrive here.
The event’s tagline, “Work Here. Live Here. Thrive Here.”
will be the centerpiece of a series of TV commercials in which sponsoring
firms can inform the public of their support for this view, mission, and
day-long exposition of all forms of Westchester business.
Special attention will be devoted to the cities that are redefining the
corporate face of the county and seminars will address key economic vitality
issues and initiatives.
In addition to 150 member firms that can exhibit without charge (if they
make a meaningful contribution to a souvenir “goody bag”),
visitors to the event will be treated to fashion shows, car displays,
fragrance samples and other enticements from luxury good marketers who
are familiar with Westchester’s up-market retailers. Lunch will
be available for mid-day visitors, and the day wraps up with a cocktail
party/buffet interspersed among the 150 booths.
About the Westchester County Association
The Westchester County Association Inc., www.westchester.org,
is a business-based, public interest organization committed to addressing
public policy issues with respect to business advocacy and economic development
on behalf of the region’s corporate and not-for-profit organizations.
Founded in 1950 by leaders representing a cross-section of major businesses
and employers in the county at that time, the original mission of the
Association was to provide a strong and clear voice for the interests
of businesses in the county. This mission continues through the programs
offered by the WCA which are intended to achieve three key objectives:
economic development of the region; business development on both a macro
(industry) and micro (member) basis; and provide access and interaction
with key public and private sector individuals, agencies and organizations.
The mission of The Westchester County Association is to maintain a position
as the center of influence for business advocacy issues on behalf of our
membership as well as enhancing the economic vitality of the region.
