Description

As part of their commitment to environmental and climate justice to transition to clean energy for all communities, NYSERDA is seeking employers to host and provide professional training for a year-long Climate Justice Fellowship. This fellow will come from a historically underserved community and will work full-time (35–40 hours) for a year at the host business. NYSERDA provides funding for salaries and professional development so that fellows can work within host businesses and organizations that advance climate justice and clean energy priorities in their respective communities.

How it Works

Eligible host business applicants are granted access to a directory of fellowship candidates where they can select one or more fellows, dependent on available funding. Once a fellow is identified, the host employer submits a fellowship application for review and approval to the contact listed below.

Eligibility

Applicants must be a community-based clean-energy business or firm dedicated to advancing climate justice and clean energy priorities in disadvantaged communities. Businesses must have two or more full-time employees (or the equivalent of), outside of principals, owners, and partners of the business. The host business must have at least one physical business address in New York where the fellow will be located and provide the fellow with comprehensive employee health benefits for the 12-month period.
