Description:
To advance equity and inclusion NYSERDA provides guidance and support for clean energy businesses in Hiring Disadvantaged Community Populations. New York’s Climate Act acknowledges that climate change does not affect all communities equally. With this website, NYSERDA helps businesses identify disadvantaged communities, to ensure that these communities benefit from the State’s clean energy transition.
How it Works:
Using NYSERDA’s disadvantaged communities interactive map, businesses can either enter an address or use the zoom function to identify disadvantaged communities. Businesses can also refer to the list of disadvantaged communities. By identifying such communities, businesses can consider their transition to clean energy supports these vulnerable populations.
Eligibility:
Any business transitioning to clean energy.
How to Apply:
No application necessary.
