Description
Through the Request for Qualifications (RFQL) 4552,owners of affordable housing multifamily buildings may qualify to receive a high performance retrofit solution that nears or achieves Carbon Neutral performance. After qualifying, building owners can partner with Solution Providers qualified through RFQL 4553 to install high performance retrofits from a RFQL 4551 qualified Component Manufacturer and apply for funding under RetrofitNY’s Program Opportunity Notice (PON) 4878.
Eligibility
Owners of affordable housing multifamily buildings are eligible for RFQL 4552 qualification and subsequent to PON 4878 funding.
How the Program Works
Retrofit projects qualified under PON 4878 enter a six-month design process led by the Solution Provider. In addition to a design stipend of $100,000, projects that succeed in design review are eligible for gap-funding equal to the retrofit’s incremental cost, up to a maximum $40,000 per dwelling unit. All projects are subject to a $1,600,000 cap per building and the current Round Two cap of $5,000,000 in funding availability.

Once qualified under RFQL 4552, building owners must meet all program eligibility criteria defined in Section II of the current PON 4878 Summary.
