As of 2024, the RetrofitNY Building Owner Qualification and Gap Funding for High-Performance Retrofit Projects will no longer accept solicitations. NYSERDA intends to build off the market awareness and interest garnered through RetrofitNY and continue to develop deep energy retrofit solutions to help New York State decarbonize efficiently and cost effectively

Description

Through the Request for Qualifications (RFQL) 4552,owners of affordable housing multifamily buildings have qualified to receive a high performance retrofit solutions that near or achieve Carbon Neutral performance. After qualifying, building owners would partner with Solution Providers qualified through RFQL 4553 to install high performance retrofits from a RFQL 4551 qualified Component Manufacturer and apply for funding under RetrofitNY’s Program Opportunity Notice (PON) 4878.

Retrofit projects qualified under PON 4878 entered a six-month design process led by the Solution Provider. In addition to a design stipend of $100,000, projects successful at the design review stage became eligible for gap-funding equal to the retrofit’s incremental cost, up to a maximum $40,000 per dwelling unit. All projects are subject to a $1,600,000 cap per building.

Owners of affordable housing multifamily buildings were eligible for RFQL 4552 qualification and subsequent to PON 4878 funding.
