In April, New York passed a new law in the wake of the Harvey Weinstein scandal and the #MeToo movement. The law, which takes effect in October 2018, affects how sexual harassment cases are settled, and includes broad requirements for all New York State employers, irrespective of size, concerning policies and training for employees.
