Hillary Rodham Clinton has spent five decades in public service as an advocate, attorney, First Lady, U.S. Senator, U.S. Secretary of State, and presidential candidate.

Hillary Clinton was born in Chicago, Illinois on October 26, 1947.  After graduating from Wellesley College and Yale Law School, she began her life-long work on behalf of children and families by joining the Children’s Defense Fund.

In 1974, she moved to Arkansas, where she married Bill Clinton and became a successful attorney while also raising their daughter, Chelsea.

As First Lady of the United States, from 1993 to 2001, Hillary Clinton championed health care for all Americans and led successful bipartisan efforts to improve the adoption and foster care systems, reduce teen pregnancy, and create the Children’s Health Insurance Program.

In 2000, Clinton made history as the first First Lady elected to the United States Senate, and the first woman elected to statewide office in New York. As Senator, she worked across party lines to expand economic opportunity and access to quality, affordable health care. After September 11, 2001, she helped to rebuild New York and provide health care for first responders.

In 2007, she began her historic campaign for president, winning 18 million votes and becoming the first woman to ever win a presidential primary or caucus state.

In her four years as America’s chief diplomat and the President’s principal foreign policy adviser, Clinton led the effort to restore America’s leadership in the world. She negotiated a cease-fire in Gaza that defended Israel’s security and headed off another war in the Middle East, mobilized an international coalition to impose crippling sanctions against Iran, and championed human rights around the world, as she has her entire career.

In 2016, Clinton made history again by becoming the first woman nominated for president by a major U.S. political party.  As the Democratic candidate for president, she campaigned on a vision of America that is “stronger together” and an agenda to make our economy work for everyone, not just those at the top., earning the support of nearly 66 million Americans.

Hillary Rodham Clinton is the author of eleven best-selling books, including her campaign memoir, What Happened; The Book of Gutsy Women, with Chelsea Clinton; and State of Terror, with Louise Penny; and her latest book, Something Lost, Something Gained: Reflections on Life, Love, and Liberty.  She is also host of the podcast You and Me Both, and founder of HiddenLight Productions, a global studio creating premium documentary, unscripted, and scripted entertainment for TV, film, and digital.

In 2020, Clinton was appointed Chancellor of Queen’s University Belfast, and in 2023, she joined Columbia University as a Professor of Practice at the School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) and Presidential Fellow at Columbia World Projects (CWP).  In 2024, Clinton produced her first Broadway show, “Suffs”, a love letter to the complicated women who fought for the right to vote and for a future they would never see but knew was possible.

She and President Clinton reside in New York, have one daughter, Chelsea, and are the proud grandparents of Charlotte, Aidan, and Jasper.

For more than 50 years, William M. Mooney, Jr. has been a prominent force in the metropolitan region’s business and banking community. Bill currently serves as the Director of Institutional Relationships at Simone Development.

In 2004 Bill was elected President of The Westchester County Association (WCA), the county’s premier business membership organization, a position he held until 2020. Under Bill’s leadership, many of the WCA’s signature initiatives such as the Blue Ribbon Task Force on Healthcare Reform and the Blueprint for Westchester were implemented.

Prior to the WCA, Bill had a long and distinguished career in the banking industry, including serving as Executive Vice President of Union State Bank, where he managed retail banking activities and business development. Earlier in his career Bill worked for Chase Manhattan Bank and Chemical Bank with responsibility for all retail and small business activities in the New York Metropolitan area.

Bill began his banking career with Citibank and at the age of 19 received the “Most Creative and Best Idea Award” in the corporation which led to a Citibank Academic Foundation Award to attend college. He received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Manhattan College in Riverdale, NY. He also attended career related programs at Harvard University and University of Virginia Darden School. Bill also received an Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters from Mercy College and an Honorary Doctor of Commercial Science from St. Thomas Aquinas College.

Beyond his many skills as a business leader, Bill is deeply committed to giving back to the community. His philanthropic efforts extend to many not-for-profit and educational organizations. He has been chairman of the board of the United Way of Westchester and Putnam Counties, St. Thomas Aquinas College, The Westchester County Association, American Heart Walk, Westchester Partnership for Economic Development, CYO Rockland County, Red Cross Rockland County and Rockland Center for the Arts.

Bill has been honored with numerous civic and leadership awards, including the CYO Outstanding Citizen Award, Monsey Jewish Center Award, 52 Association Outstanding Citizen Award, Graymoor Award, Mary Walsh Dominican Sisters Award, YMCA Outstanding Citizen Award, St. Agnes – Children Rehabilitation Center, St. Thomas Aquinas College President’s Award, United Way Distinguished Citizen Award, Cystic Fibrosis Charles J. Lubin Humanitarian Award, Calvary Hospital Leadership Award, Theodora L. Russell Award for Education of Youth of Westchester County, Pace Law School Distinguished Service Award, Westchester Mental Health Association Leadership Award and Boy Scouts of America Distinguished Citizen Award. Sound Shore Hospital Corporate Award, Cardinal’s Inner City School Award, YWCA Leader of Distinction, The Institute of Applied Human Dynamics Person of The Year Award, Visiting Nurse Assoc. of Hudson Valley Corporate Community Service Award, American Diabetes Association – Father of the Year, Salvation Army Community Service Award, Mercy College Presidential Award, Visiting Nurses Assoc. of Hudson Valley, Hudson Valley Hospital Corporate Leadership Award, Westchester Medical Society Corporate Leadership Award, St. John Riverside Hospital Corporate Leadership Award, Westchester Medical Center Corporate Leadership Award. In 2004, Bill was honored with The Ellis Island Medal of Honor that recognizes individuals for their exceptional humanitarian efforts and outstanding contributions to the nation.

Bill resides in White Plains with his wife of 62 years, Joan. They have four children, nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
