Description
SmartCharge New York provides year-round incentives for charging your electric vehicle at off-peak times.
How the Program Works
Charging data is collected straight from your vehicle’s onboard telematics or smart charging station and used to calculate your earnings. The program provides several incentives to compatible vehicles and charging stations including a $25 3-month bonus, a 10 cents per kWh off-peak charging incentive, a $35 per month avoided summer peak incentive, and a $35 avoided summer peak bonus incentive.
Eligibility
You must own or lease a plug-in hybrid electric or battery vehicle and charge it within the Con Edison’s service area in Westchester or New York City. Non-Con Edison customers may still apply. Electric vehicle drivers on the Electric Service Classes 1 or 2 Residential or Small Business Time of Use rates are not eligible.
