WESTCHESTER COUNTY ASSOCIATION HOLDS 67TH ANNUAL FALL LEADERSHIP DINNER AT WESTCHESTER MARRIOTT IN TARRYTOWN ON NOVEMBER 16

Keynote speaker is Scott Rechler, Chairman and CEO of RXR Realty

 

Honorees include Jack L. Kopnisky, President and CEO of Sterling National Bank, and Kevin W. Dahill, President and CEO of Suburban Hospital Alliance of NYS

 

White Plains, NY, – [October 30, 2017] – The Westchester County Association, Westchester’s preeminent business membership and advocacy organization, will hold its 67th Fall Leadership Dinner on Thursday, November 16 at the Westchester Marriott at 670 White Plains Road in Tarrytown.

 

Scott Rechler, chairman and chief executive officer of RXR Realty, will serve as keynote speaker. In addition, Kevin W. Dahill, president and chief executive officer of the Suburban Hospital Alliance of New York State, will receive the organization’s Leadership Award, and Jack L. Kopnisky, president and chief executive officer of Sterling National Bank, will be presented with the organization’s Alfred B. DelBello Visionary Leadership Award.

Mooney, Jr., president and chief executive officer of the Westchester County Association. “But in today’s complex economy, our local business leaders play an indispensable role as advocates for Westchester’s long-term business vitality. These leaders deserve our praise and recognition.

 

“In tribute to their extraordinary efforts, we will be honoring Kevin Dahill and Jack Kopnisky on November 16 for all they have done to build a secure economic future for our county and region,” said Mr. Mooney.

 

“We will also be proud to offer a keynote platform to Scott Rechler, a one-of-a-kind real estate executive who has literally redefined the nature of public-private partnership through his breakthrough work in New Rochelle, across Westchester County and beyond; and whose leadership on behalf of the Regional Plan Association and MTA has strengthened the entire region.”

 

Leadership Award honoree Kevin W. Dahill is being recognized for his work with the Suburban Hospital Alliance of New York State, a consortium of 51 not-for-profit and public hospitals advocating in Albany and Washington for better health care policy for those living and working in Westchester and eight other counties north and east of New York City. Areas of focus include workforce issues, managed care, patient safety, capital financing, medical malpractice, and reimbursement.

 

Recipient of the Alfred B. DelBello Visionary Leadership Award, Jack L. Kopnisky is a member of the WCA board of directors. He leads Sterling National Bank, which since 1888 has provided banking services to small and mid-sized businesses and consumers in the Hudson Valley and the greater New York metropolitan area. The bank has nearly $12 billion in assets.

 

Scott Rechler is chief executive officer and chairman of RXR Realty, a multi-billion-dollar private real estate company. Leading development initiatives in Westchester, New York City, Long Island, New Jersey and Connecticut, Mr. Rechler has helped to grow RXR into one of the largest owners, managers, and developers in the Tri-State area. The company is the designated master developer in the City of New Rochelle, where more than 12 million square feet of new development is in the pipeline. RXR also developed Larkin Plaza, a 242-unit luxury residential complex in Yonkers.

 

Mr. Rechler is chair of the Regional Plan Association and a member of the Metropolitan Transit Authority board, and recently completed a five-year period of service on the board of commissioners of the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey.

 

The Fall Leadership Dinner begins at 5:30 pm with networking and a cocktail reception. Dinner and program follow at 7:00 pm, with a dessert reception at 8:30 pm.
